Reliever Mike Adams Will “Look At Everything That's Out There” In Free Agency

Adams was acquired by Texas at the trade deadline in 2011

Josh Hamilton is set to be the biggest name on the market this offseason, and as such, he seems to be the focus of each and every Rangers-centric discussion to be heard around town these days. But he’s not the only soon-to-be free agent who has played a key role in the Rangers’ success of recent.

Setup man Mike Adams will test free agency this winter as well, and though he says he would like to return to the Rangers--the team he’s been with since the trade deadline of 2011--he intends on taking a good, long look at his options before making a final decision.

"I'd like to be back here if it's the right deal and it's the best deal," Adams said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "This is a business and that's No. 1. You have ties to places and you like certain places more than others, but when it comes down to it, this is a business.

"It's my first opportunity and might be my last opportunity at a free agent deal. I'm going to take a look at everything that's out there."
