Major League Baseball has released the times for the upcoming ALCS and NLCS games.
The series between the Rangers and Tigers starts Saturday night in Arlington, with the first pitch being thrown at 7:05 p.m. The NLCS will start on Sunday afternoon with the winners of Cardinals-Phillies divisional series and the Brewers-Diamondbacks series facing of in the NLCS. Both series are tied at 2-2 with Game 5 being played Friday night.
Texas fans may not like that games 3 and 4 are Wednesday and Thursday at 3:19 p.m., while fans of the National League will play evening games on both days -- and they may actually have a legitimate gripe. To be fair, the National League teams are playing two day games as well -- but they are both on the weekend when more fans will be off of work and able to tune in. Rangers fans, you'll either miss the game or miss work.
Why Major League Baseball didn't split them up and give the AL and NL each a day game during the week I can only speculate -- but they didn't -- and if the Yankees were playing in the ALCS I can only further speculate that the fans of NY would only have one day game during the week, not two. There is no national love for the Rangers or Tigers I guess, but I digress.
