Rangers Set to Face Two Troublesome Lefties

The Texas Rangers have their work cut out for them this weekend when they travel up to Seattle for a three-game weekend set, and it's not really because they have to face Felix Hernandez on Saturday night.

The Rangers actually have an oddly good track record against King Felix, but they have struggled horribly against left-handed pitchers this year, and on Friday and Sunday they have to try to buck that trend.

The Rangers see J.A. Happ on Friday night and rookie James Paxton on Sunday. Both of them are lefties, and that could spell trouble for the Rangers, who are 0-3 against left-handed starters this year and are hitting well under .200 against them.

Some key lefties in the Rangers' lineup have struggled against left-handed pitching, most notably Leonys Martin and Mitch Moreland, and their lack of production against the lefties has hurt the Rangers' offense.

It could be that the Rangers will have to beat Hernandez if they want a win out of this weekend, and that's a pretty tall task no matter what kind of history they have against him.
