Rangers Raise Ticket Prices

With success comes money and once again, the Texas Rangers will see price increases at Rangers Ballpark in 2013.

For the past couple of years the Rangers have followed successful postseason runs with ticket increases, and heading into 2013 one of those will be the case.

The Rangers lost the AL Wild Card Game to cap a disappointing finish to the 2012 season, which saw them get caught for the AL West crown on the season's final day, but once again, they will raise ticket prices. The club says the moves are being made to keep up with payroll as well to help pay for stadium renovations that have taken place the past two offseasons.

Ticket prices at all levels will be up from last season, and parking will now cost $15, up from $12 in 2012 and the club will do away with $10 parking on Friday nights.

The Rangers will also introduce dynamic pricing with upper reserved tickets, meaning prices will fluctuate depending on the demand for the game. So those tickets will be more expensive when the New York Yankees come to town than, say, when Minnesota comes to Arlington.
