Rangers Praised by Opposing Managers

This year has been awfully forgettable for the Texas Rangers, but as many of us know, a solid core is still in place heading into 2015 with what they hope is a healthy roster.

In a recent poll conducted by Baseball America, the league's managers voted on several "skills" — best fastball, best outfield arm, best slider — you know, it's in there.

A few Rangers showed up on the balloting, topped by everyone's favorite and the consumate professional, Adrian Beltre.

The veteran third baseman was voted the league's best defensive third baseman, as well as having the best infield arm. As for outfield arms, Rangers center fielder Leonys Martin finished second to his countryman Yoenis Cespedes, who without a doubt has the best arm in the game. Also not a surprise, that filthy slide-piece from Yu Darvish was voted the best slider in the game.

In a bit of a comical turn of events, recently demoted reliever Ryan Feierabend finished third behind top-notch starters Mark Buehrle and James Shields for having the best pickoff move.

See, Rangers fans, all is not lost.
