Rangers, Moreland Agree to One-Year Deal

The Texas Rangers have agreed to a one-year contract with first baseman/designated hitter Mitch Moreland.

As per usual, the team has no comment on the financial terms of the deal.

With Moreland's agreement, all Rangers eligible for salary arbitration have now agreed to terms for the 2014 season.

Moreland, 28, batted .232 with 24 doubles, 23 home runs and 60 RBIs in 147 games for the Rangers in 2013.  Each of those numbers were career highs for Moreland, who also had a career high number of walks (45) and total bases (202).
