Rangers Make Hamilton $13.3M Offer

Team declines to make offers to five free agents

Rangers blogger TR Sullivan says the club has made a $13.3 million qualifying offer to Josh Hamilton, but didn't do so with Mike Napoli.

The Rangers said Hamilton has until 4 p.m. Nov. 9 to accept or decline the offer -- if he takes the deal, he's considered a signed player for 2013.  If he declines, the Rangers will gain an additional selection after the first round of the 2013 draft if he signs with another team.

The team did not make offers to five other free agents including Mike Napoli, Mike Adams, Scott Feldman, Mark Lowe and Koji Uehara.

The Rangers can still negotiate with those players, but will receive no draft pick compensation should they sign with another team.
