Rangers fans loved watching pitcher Keone Kela bring the heat as a rookie last season.

Kela had a 2.39 ERA in 2015, and feels like that success could be a real launching point to an even better 2016.

"Sometimes I forget I have one year of service time under my belt now," Kela said. "I wouldn't say I'm comfortable now, but I am definitely more knowledgeable about what I need to do."

Kela also has a lot of support from his extended family's long-time home where he used to spend summers growing up. Keone's grandparents lived in Hawaii, which he says is his favorite place in the world.

"When I think of Hawaii, I think of family and the culture, because it's a lot different than how we live our lives here on the mainland," Kela said. "The necessities are minimal there. I wake up every morning wearing flip flops, shorts and a T-shirt. I don't have to keep up with the Joneses."
