Rangers Game Postponed Due to Weather

For the first time in three years the Texas Rangers game scheduled for Sunday, April 17, has been postponed due to the weather.

The Rangers were due to take on the Baltimore Orioles at Globe Life Park at 2:05 p.m. 

According to the Rangers, the game will be made up on Monday, June 20, time still to be announced. 

The Rangers released the updated information on Sunday morning. 

Fans holding tickets to today’s game may use those tickets for the Monday, June 20 makeup and should hold on to them for that date. Fans may also exchange tickets for today’s game for any Sunday through Thursday non-premier home game, subject to availability, during the remainder of the 2016 season.

The Rangers Globe Life Park in Arlington box office will not be open today, but fans may call the Rangers Ticket Call Center at 972.RANGERS on Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Regular box office hours during the week are 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on non-game days and 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on game days. 

The PowerAde Zero Delino DeShields Socks giveaway scheduled for today will be rescheduled on a date to be announced.  

The Rangers owned major league baseball’s longest streak without a postponement prior to today’s rainout. Texas had played 448 consecutive regular season games played since a scheduled contest was postponed, a rainout on May 29, 2013 with Arizona at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
