Rangers Finalize Starting Rotation

After being evaluated as a starting pitcher for much of the spring, AL Rooke of the Year Neftali Feliz is going to stay a closer.

Leaving Feliz in the pen means that the starting rotation for the Rangers is C.J. Wilson, Colby Lewis, Matt Harrison, Tommy Hunter and Derek Holland.

Wilson and Lewis are locked in the No. 1 and 2 spots, the rest of the order of the rotation is to be determined.

After pulling Feliz from the starting spot Thursday, the Rangers said he will pitch an inning of relief in tonight's game against the Padres.

In 2010, Feliz saved 40 games and made the All-Star team while finishing 4-3 with a 2.73 ERA after 70 games.

The 22-year-old RHP was on the mound when the Rangers locked up the AL West and when they struck out Alex Rodriguez, earning the team's first World Series berth.
