    Ross Wolf.

Ross Wolf had his moments with the Texas Rangers in 2013, working largely as a swingman out of the bullpen and even making a couple of spot starts for the Rangers, who were ousted in a one-game playoff to make the AL Wild Card Game.

Last season, Wolf went off to Korea to have a chance to pitch more and hone his craft, even if it was in the KBO, which introduced a new ball that saw ERAs skyrocket. That's why Wolf's ERA of 4.85 in 85 1/3 innings last season was nothing to sneeze at, as it was nearly a full run below the league average ERA.

Wolf made three starts in spot duty for the Rangers in 2013 and made 21 appearances out of the bullpen while compiling a 4.15 ERA in 47 2/3 innings, and he'll be on a minor-league contract with a non-roster invite to spring training in February.

The hope is that Wolf can compete for a job in the Rangers' bullpen, presumably as a long relief man.
