Rangers Ballpark Gets a Little Captain In It

Rangers Ballpark in Arlington is "getting a little Captain in it" as the team announces plans for a Captain Morgan Club in the stadium.

Diageo, the owner of alcohol brands like Captain Morgan, Jose Cuervo, and others, has signed up for a multi-year deal to name the new restaurant and sports bar.

The club will sit in 9,000 square feet on the first floor of the office-building complex in left-center field. The two-level facility will have both table and bar seating for about 230 guests, according to a press release from the Rangers.

"The new Captain Morgan Club will provide fans with an unparalleled experience at Rangers Ballpark," said Tom Herbst, Director of Marketing, Rums at Diageo. "We look forward to building on the strong partnership between two great teams – and introducing Rangers fans to some of our newest Captain Morgan offerings."

One of the best aspects for baseball fans will be a two-story dining area overlooking the field with a floor to ceiling glass window. The club will be open to all fans with tickets before, during, and after Rangers home games. Other events may be held in the club when the team is on the road.

Additionally, Fox Sports Southwest and 103.3 FM ESPN will have studios in the club to produce their live pre and post-game shows.

Including the new club, the Ballpark is upgrading more than 55,000 square feet of space in center field, which will house a new plaza area, Kid's Zone, Batter's Eye Club, and other amenities. The upgrades are scheduled to be completed by the first week in April, according to the Rangers.
