Rangers Ballpark Earns Top-10 Nod

If you've ever thought about taking one of those ballpark trips one summer and hitting up several different parks in a quest to hit every big-league ballpark, one of the best in the country is right here in your backyard, at least according to travel website TripAdvisor.com.

The travel website compiled a list of the top 10 ballparks in America, and Rangers Ballpark checked in at No. 9, in front of famed, historic Wrigley Field in Chicago, and got praise for its goal of creating a fairly new ballpark with an old, historic feel.

Here's what TripAdvisor had to say about the home of the Texas Rangers:

With an asymmetrical natural grass field, this 270-acre sports complex was designed to resemble the iconic ballparks of the early 20th century. Travelers will enjoy state-of-the-art amenities, as the stadium features a premium sound system equipped with 1,200 speakers throughout the venue. A TripAdvisor traveler noted, “It is one of the few stadiums that have tried to make you feel like the old time major league stadium still exists.”

The ballparks that finished ahead of Rangers Ballpark included Boston's Fenway Park (No. 4), San Francisco's AT&T Park (No. 2) and the No. 1 spot, PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
