Rangers Announce Spring TV Schedule

10 games to be televised locally

The following is a news release from the Texas Rangers.

The Texas Rangers today announced their 2012 spring training broadcast schedule.

 

There will be a total of 10 games televised locally in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, eight on TXA21 and two on Fox Sports Southwest. The radio flagship of the Rangers, 103.3 FM ESPN, will also carry ten games. In addition, the Rangers will provide coverage of ten games free of charge on texasrangers.com Gameday Audio.

 

The extensive spring training television schedule begins with the Fox Sports Southwest broadcasts of the Rangers games versus the Chicago Cubs in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 17 and Sunday, March 18, both at 3:05 p.m. CT. The seven TXA21 telecasts from Arizona will include Friday, March 23 versus San Francisco at Scottsdale (9:05 p.m. CT); Sunday, March 25 against the Los Angeles Angels at Tempe (3:05 p.m. CT); Monday, March 26 against Cincinnati at Surprise (8:05 p.m. CT); Wednesday, March 28 versus Kansas City at Surprise (8:05 p.m. CT); Thursday, March 29 against San Francisco at Surprise (8:05 p.m. CT); Friday, March 30 versus Colorado at Salt River Fields (9:10 p.m. CT); and Sunday, April 1 San Diego at Surprise (3:05 p.m. CT)..

The first Rangers radio broadcast on 103.3 FM ESPN will be the Cactus League opener on Sunday, March 4 versus Kansas City at 1:05 p.m. CT from Surprise.

 

In addition, the Rangers exhibition game versus the Mexico City Red Devils on Tuesday, April 3 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington will be televised by TXA21 and carried on both 103.3 FM ESPN and 1540 AM ESPN Deportes, the club’s Spanish radio flagship station. Game time is 7:05 p.m. in the Rangers’ first Arlington spring training contest since 2010. 

 

The ten free webcasts on texasrangers.com Gameday Audio begin on Monday, March 5, when the Rangers and Royals play at Surprise Stadium at 2:05 p.m. CT.
