Rangers Add Ex-Teammate of Darvish, 2 Others

The Rangers have agreed to minor league contracts with infielder Kensuke Tanaka and pitchers Ryan Feierabend and Daniel McCutchen.

Tanaka, who made his major league debut at 32 with San Francisco last season, will be in major league camp along with Feierabend.

Tanaka was a teammate of Texas right-hander Yu Darvish in Japan's Pacific League and spent 13 years playing in his home country before coming to the U.S. He was with Triple-A Fresno most of last season and hit .267 in 15 games with San Francisco.

Feierabend was in the Texas farm system this year. The left-hander spent part of three seasons with Seattle from 2006-08.

McCutchen, a right-hander, was in the Baltimore organization last season.
