2013 stats: 7-8, 4.97 ERA, 23 starts in 26 appearances, 139 1/3 innings, 96 strikeouts, 48 walks
The free agent from Baltimore appeared to have had a breakout season in 2012 with a 3.43 ERA in 20 starts and nearly a strikeout per inning, but he regressed last season after earning the right to be the Orioles' Opening Day starter back in April. He's still young (31) and could be a buy-low guy that could be on his way to being something. He's big (6-6) and throws hard like most guys with that size.
He'd be a guy that could be had a short-term deal, maybe of the two-year variety, possibly even one year, and would be a nice addition to compete for a spot in the rotation alongside guys like Robbie Ross and Colby Lewis.
