Remember that pesky San Francisco Giants team that beat the Texas Rangers in the 2010 World Series in just five games? Well, Cody Ross was a big part of that lineup in case you've forgotten or chosen to erase it from your memory. Ross grew up a Rangers fan, and on Tuesday he reportedly met with team officials after making $3 million with the Boston Red Sox last year.
His above numbers, especially the doubles was probably helped a bit by Fenway Park's odd dimensions, but he topped 20 home runs twice before in 2008 and 2009 while playing for the Florida Marlins -- not a home-run friendly park.
Ross could play all three outfield positions for the Rangers and provide a nice veteran presence on an increasingly young team.
