Potential Target: Alejandro De Aza

In an ongoing series, we'll take a look at possible free-agent and trade targets for the Texas Rangers this winter.

Potential Target: Alejandro De Aza, OF

2015 stats: .262 batting average, .333 on-base percentage, .755 OPS, 17 doubles, 7 triples, 7 home runs, 35 RBIs in 114 games split between Baltimore, Boston and San Francisco

De Aza has been a more than serviceable outfielder for years, and though his best years are behind him when he was also a legit base-stealing threat, he can still play the outfield (19 errors in 8 seasons) and he can get on base.

The Rangers obviously have made it known they're not in the market for a big-time corner outfielder, so guys like De Aza seem to be their market, and reports have surfaced that the Rangers are "keeping tabs" on De Aza after he signed a one-year deal this winter to play for the New York Mets.
