The Texas Rangers have sent RHP Alexi Ogando to Triple-A Round Rock to start and pitch one inning in a rehab assignment.
In the game, Ogando will face Memphis at the Dell Diamond.
The Rangers said that if the inning goe swell, he'll pitch two innings on Saturday ... also against Memphis.
Ogando was placed on the 15-day disabled list on June 12 (retroactive to June 11) after sustaining a right groin strain running to first base on June 10 at San Francisco.
This season, Ogando is 1-0, 2.08 in 28 games/1 start for the Rangers.
