Mickelson Catches Yu Fever

Phil Mickelson seems to be quite the Texas Rangers fan.

In town for the Byron Nelson golf tournament, Mickelson had primo seats for Wednesday night's game and Thursday's day game, which he got to as soon as he could following his morning round on the tournament's opening day.

On Wednesday, he got to witness the greatness that is Yu Darvish, and he was blown away like just about everyone else by Darvish's talent. As a self-professed big baseball fan, and reportedly a pretty good pitcher himself back in his high school days, Mickelson praised Darvish for his varying speeds, sounding like a bona fide baseball analyst.

"I had a really good view of it and it was pretty impressive," Mickelson told ESPN Dallas after his Thursday round. "The differences in speeds from 95 to 68 to 75 to 88. It was all over the map. He had such great control. You could tell he's a special talent."

The only disappointing thing to see was that Mickelson chose to buy the all white Rangers hat with the white "T". Not a good look for such a big baseball fan, Lefty.
