It's always fun this time of year when the wise guys in Vegas release their over-under win totals for every MLB team heading into the upcoming season.
Bovada.lv, one of the leading wagering sites, released its totals on Wednesday for the entire league, and there's a few interesting tidbits to mention. First off, the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays are the only two big-league teams that have reached 90 wins in each of the past four seasons, yet neither are projected to reach that total in 2014. Oh, and the Astros are still projected to be the worst team in baseball, meaning the Rangers should have 19 cake walks.
As far as the AL West goes, here are the projections: Oakland 88.5; Texas 86.5; Los Angeles 86.5; Seattle 81.5; Houston 62.5.
Other notables, the aforementioned Rays are tabbed at 88.5. The top three win totals belong to the Los Angeles Dodgers (92.5), St. Louis Cardinals (90.5) and Detroit Tigers (89.5).
