Lewis Hoping to Bounce Back From Bad Outing

If you're a fan of Rangers blog Goliath Jamey Newberg, you know his standard hashtag on Twitter when the Rangers have a chance to clinch a series. It's quick and simple — #WTDS (win the damn series).

That's what the Rangers have a chance to do on Tuesday when they take the field at Progressive Field in Cleveland after winning the opener on Monday in blowout fashion.

To prevent the third game from even mattering for that series win, they'll have to win Tuesday and on the mound they'll have their bulldog starter in veteran Colby Lewis.

Lewis is hoping to bounce back from his first bad start of the year last week against the Angels when he allowed six runs on eight hits in five innings of work, but the Rangers still won the game in a wild 15-9 game. Prior to that outing, Lewis had gone at least six innings in every start this year and given up more than three runs just once.

If we learned one thing about Lewis last year it was that he'd have a bad outing from time to time (often against the Angels) but when he had them he usually bounced back and strung together four or five really good ones.

Could that be something he starts on Tuesday night against the Indians? If so, the Rangers will be well on their way to another series victory, and Jamey will be preaching on Twitter.
