Indians Manager: Rangers “Should Go Deep In The Playoffs Again”

Manny Acta and his Indians will open a three-game set with Texas on Tuesday night

The Texas Rangers will open up a three-game set with the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday in Arlington, and it’s fairly safe to assume that the Indians aren’t taking their opponents too lightly. This is because Tribe manager Manny Acta, apparently, holds the Rangers in pretty high regards.

Acta was asked to elaborate on his praise for the two-time reigning American league Champs shortly after the teams’ last series together, in which Texas took two of three from the Indians in Cleveland to close the month of August and open up the month of September.

The Texas infield came quickly to mind for the Cleveland skipper.

They catch the ball,” Acta said, per the Dallas Morning News. “How are you supposed to get a ball through their infield, especially the left side?”

Acta went on to say that he wouldn’t be surprised to see the Rangers make a strong playoff run for a third straight year.

“You don’t go to the World Series back-to-back without being a really good team,” he said. “They should go deep in the playoffs again.”
