Home Sweet Home for Rangers

After sputtering their way through a stretch of 17 of 20 games being on the road with a 10-10 record, the Rangers finally got back to Arlington on Monday and their bats couldn't have been any happier.

They won't leave the state of Texas until after the All-Star break (a quick three-game trip to Houston) and will get a chance to play at home where they are now 21-13 after an easy 8-3 win over Houston on Monday.

It's no secret that the Rangers hit better at home but they actually also pitch better at home, which is pretty crazy considering the stigma of the Ballpark and pitching. They're just an all-around better team.

And they didn't waste any time as they jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead scoring three runs each in the first two innings.

Then Mitch Moreland capped it all off with a monstrous, supposed "455-foot" blast though if you saw it, you know it went further than that.

As we discussed on Monday, this is a great opportunity for the Rangers to go out and seize, and it's fair to say Monday was a good way to start seizing.
