Holland Named Player Rep

C.J. Wilson used to be the Texas Rangers' player representative who served as a liaison between the team's clubhouse and the Major League Baseball Players Association.

That was probably a wheels-off proposition at times given Wilson's propensity for outrageousness.

So with Wilson departing via free agency, who else would the Rangers want to carry that torch than a guy that goes by "The Dutch Oven".

Holland, despite his goofiness and quirkiness, will represent the Rangers with the players association.

"I just showed up today and they volunteered me," Holland told MLB.com. "I'll just try to do everything the right way."

Sounds inspired.

Maybe he'll break out his Harry Caray or Ah-nuld with his thin mustache at the next meeting? Let's hope so.
