Rangers’ outfielder Josh Hamilton isn’t particularly concerned by the fact that the team’s weekend series with the Cubs is taking place in Las Vegas--Sin City, as they call it, and one of the drinking capitols of the country--and the fact that his wife Katie will be with him is no small reason why.
"There is sin everywhere, every day," Hamilton said, per the Dallas Morning News. "I've heard about everything they do on the weekends. Good for them. I will be with Katie. If we go together, everything is good."
Hamilton, whose battle with drugs and alcohol (his “story” as it’s so often called) is well known, had a much publicized relapse at a Dallas bar back in January. Since then, he has been attending individual counseling sessions, as well as sessions with his wife.
Rangers’ assistant Shayne Kelley will also be accompanying Hamilton on the trip.
