Fans' Guide to Game 162

With today being arguably the most stressful regular season day in the history of the Texas Rangers, let's take a look at who Rangers fans should be rooting for on the regular season's final day to earn their team homefield advantage in the AL playoffs.

Rangers at Athletics, today, 2:35 p.m., FSSW — I think you know the drill here.

Orioles at Rays, today, 6 p.m., ESPN2 — Baltimore is sending one of its best starters, Chris Tillman, to the hill against the Rays and Jeremy "Hell Boy" Hellickson. If you Orioles win, that will keep the Rangers' hopes alive in taking homefield. Look to former Ranger Chris Davis, who's now homered in his last six games including a moon shot to center field in the Trop on Tuesday.

Red Sox at Yankees, 6 p.m., ESPN — This is where things get unlikely. If the Orioles and Rangers win, and then the Red Sox beat the Yankees tonight, that would set up an AL East one-game playoff between the Yankees and Orioles. The Orioles win that game, and the Rangers would take homefield. The Yankees have Hiroki Kuroda toeing the rubber while Boston is sending an awful Dice-K to the mound for a team that has just about quit.

So there you go, folks. Wear your Rangers shirt, your Orioles hat and your red socks, and let's get this thing done.
