Dyson Raves About Rangers' Clubhouse

Sam Dyson was a relative unknown when he was acquired from Miami at the trade deadline last year for third catcher Tomas Telis.

it didn't take long for Dyson to establish himself as a dominant setup man for the Rangers, and it was equally quick that the reliever felt welcomed in the Rangers' clubhouse.

In visiting with 105.3 The Fan recently, Dyson said he felt right at home pretty much from Day 1 after the trade to Texas.

"I think last year after the first week, it was kind of like they embraced everybody," Dyson said. "So it's a much easier atmosphere to play in from a teammate perspective than some other organizations I've been with. Everybody kind of embraces you and welcomes you with open arms and just wants you to perform at your best."

Dyson made 31 appearances in the regular season with the Rangers and compiled a 1.15 ERA with 30 strikeouts and four walks in 31 1/3 innings.
