The Texas Rangers will activate lefty Derek Holland from the 60-day disabled list on Tuesday.

He is scheduled to start Tuesday night for the first time since June 20 against the Cincinnati Reds.

Holland has been on the disabled list with left shoulder inflammation.

The 29-year-old had a 4.50 ERA in three starts on rehab assignment at Round Rock.

To make room for Holland, the Rangers optioned Nick Martinez to Triple-A Round Rock.
