Darvish Takes Another Step in Rehab

Who would've thought watching a pitcher throw a pitch from a regular mound would draw so much interest?

That's exactly what happened on Monday as Rangers ace Yu Darvish took the mound at the Rangers' Surprise, Arizona, training complex and threw some pitches.

Darvish, of course, had Tommy John surgery on March 17 of last year, less than two weeks after he threw one inning of work in a Cactus League game on March 5 before leaving with elbow stiffness. Of course, all of our worst fears were shortly realized.

Darvish had thrown a few sessions from a half mound last week, but on Monday he stepped on a full mound for the first time, and it was awesome.

Now, you just wait patiently, breath held, and hope the report is as good later today as it was after all of those pain-free sessions last week.
