Darvish Scratched From Monday's Start

When Yu Darvish was pulled from Wednesday's start against the Astros, Rangers manager Jeff Banister described the decision as "precautionary."  It's moved beyond that now.

Darvish is still dealing with the stiffness and tightness in his neck and shoulder that caused him to leave after just five innings and 76 pitches.  He is now being sent back to Dallas for an MRI on his neck and shoulder, and will miss his next scheduled start.

The right-hander has pitched in just three games this season, his first MLB action since August of 2014 after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

Darvish is 2-0 with a 2.87 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 15.2 innings pitched this season.
