Darvish Helps Rangers Past White Sox 14-8

Yu Darvish pitched into the fifth inning and J.P. Arencibia hit a grand slam, leading the Texas Rangers to a 14-8 spring win against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday.

 
Darvish, who will start the Rangers' March 31 opener against Philadelphia, gave up two runs and four hits in 4 2-3 innings. He struck out three and walked three.
 
Arencibia hit the first pitch from Zach Putnam over the left-field fence with the bases loaded in the sixth.
 
Paul Konerko hit a three-run double in Chicago's five-run seventh.
 
Prince Fielder and Shin-Soo Choo, both key offseason additions by the Rangers, each doubled and scored a run.
 
Minor leaguers Brad Snyder and Ronald Guzman also homered for Texas.
