Byron Winner Jason Dufner To Throw Out First Pitch

After winning the Byron Nelson last week, Jason Dufner will throw out the first pitch at Friday's Rangers-Jays game

Jason Dufner is having a big week.

Last weekend, Dufner won the HP Byron Nelson Championship by a stroke over Dicky Pride. This week he’s playing the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, and on Friday, Dufner is set to throw out the first pitch at the Rangers’ game against the Toronto Blue Jays in Arlington.

"I'm really excited," Dufner said this week, per ESPN Dallas. "This will be the first time I've ever done anything like that, so it should be fun. I don't have much experience throwing a baseball in that environment, but I have thrown a baseball before. So hopefully I could get it across the plate and have a good time with it."

This is the second time (by our count) that the Rangers’ have welcomed a PGA golfer to the Ballpark to throw out the first pitch. Hunter Mahan came out earlier in the month, only to learn that Josh Hamilton had no idea what The Masters was.
