Barnett to Undergo Tests After Bizarre Call

Barnett said to suffer from recurring migraines

The Texas Rangers say play-by-play announcer Dave Barnett will miss the final two games of the team's series with the San Diego Padres due to what are believed to be recurring migraine headaches.

During the bottom of the 8th inning Monday night, Barnett said the go-ahead run was on fifth and then rambled on about a botched robbery and a henchman.

The Rangers said Barnett will undergo an evaluation over the next few days.

In the meantime, Rangers radio announcer Steve Busby will handle the television play-by-play call along with Tom Grieve.  Bryan Dolgin, who hosts the pre and post-game shows, will join Eric Nadel on the radio broadcast.

Barnett has been in his role as the play-by-play man since 2011.
