Texas Rangers right-handed pitcher A.J. Griffin is scheduled for a rehab assignment with the Frisco RoughRiders in San Antonio against the Missions Thursday night.

The 28-year-old is expected to throw between 45 and 50 pitches. Griffin was placed on the 15-day disabled list May 8 because of shoulder stiffness.

Griffin was 3-0 on the season with a 2.94 ERA prior to the injury.

First pitch for Thursday's game is set for 7:05 p.m.
