2015 third basemen
The guy: Adrian Beltre
The kids: Joey Gallo, Hanser Alberto
For the near month that Adrian Beltre was on the disabled list, Joey Gallo made his anticipated debut with smashing success before tailing off and eventually falling into the category of "not ready for big-league pitching". In the playoffs when Beltre went down, it was Alberto who replaced him and came up with a couple of clutch hits but had a couple of miscues in the field.
But for the most part, it was all Beltre all the time at the hot corner. And once again, Beltre was an ageless stud who added to his already strong Hall of Fame resume.
Beltre overcame a really rough start to the year, when we were all afraid his decline had begun, and put together a fantastic second half and a specifically strong September to end the year with some pretty respectable numbers while being a finalist for the AL Gold Glove at third base along with Manny Machado and Evan Longoria.

Beltre finished the year with .287/.334/.453 triple-slash to go with 32 doubles, 18 homers and 83 RBIs, including an insane stretch over the last 50 or so games in which he had more RBIs than games played to finish the year. Oh, and he did all of that with a torn ligament in his thumb, in true Beltre fashion.
Overall, we'll give the third base position an A.
