Josh Hamilton Greets Fans At Book Signing

Hundreds of Fans Come Out to Support Josh Hamilton

The bitter cold morning could not keep more than 500 die-hard Josh Hamilton fans from lining up outside the Lifeway Christian Book store in Hurst.

Luisa Sanchez arrived hours before the Rangers All-Star was scheduled to sign autographs of his book, "Beyond Belief."

And she was not alone, some fans arrived as early as Friday afternoon. Many camped outside the store overnight.

The media was also kept outside the bookstore as fans were only allowed inside in groups of 25.

Hamilton's book titled "Beyond Belief " details his four-year battle with drugs and alcohol that almost ended his career.

It's a struggle that continues. Nearly a week ago, Hamilton publicly apologized after drinking at a Dallas bar.

This week, the Rangers added a new coach to help support the all-star outfielder. Fans say he remains a role model despite the recent relapse.
