Woody Allen's tour of Europe is taking the famous New Yorker to the South of France where he'll unveil his "love letter to Paris."

"Midnight in Paris," Allen's upcoming romcom starring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates, Adrien Brody, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, and Léa Seydoux, will be the first film to screen at the 64th annual Cannes FIlm Festival. This year's ferstival runs from May 11 to 22.

"Midnight in Paris is a wonderful love letter to Paris", declared Festival director Thierry Frémaux in a press release. "It’s a film in which Woody Allen takes a deeper look at the issues raised in his last films: our relationship with history, art, pleasure and life. His 41st feature reveals once again his inspiration."

The film finds Wilson in a love treiangle with Rachel McAdams and Marion Cotillard, which is nice work if you can get it.
