Ex-Yankees Wife Swapper Terrified of Affleck/Damon Movie

In 1972, a pair of New York Yankees pitchers traded wives. It's the kind of story any Red Sox fan would love to see on the big screen, but one of the players involved feels very differently.

It wasn't until spring training of 1973 that their fellow Yankees learned that pitchers Mike Kekich and Fritz Peterson had traded spouses, with Marilyn Peterson moving in with Kekich, and Susanne Kekich marrying Fritz.

The latter union continues to this day, but Mike Kekich has since remarried and tried to distance himself from the whole thing, something that he fears is becoming increasingly difficult with Sox fans Matt Damon and Ben Affleck planning a film about the scandal.

"Kekich is panic-stricken. He has moved away and has a new identity," a source told the New York Post. He is freaked out that those working on the movie found out where he is. He isn't too keen on having the scandal dredged up again after all this time."

Affleck is currently working on a script with his little brother, Casey, and Damon is said to be making the film his directorial debut.Though there's speculation that Damon and Affleck may play the wife-swapping pitchers, it seems unlikely that the lifelong Sox fans would ever don Yankee pinstripes.

As much as we love the idea of turning this story into a film, we feel for Kekich. It was almost 40 years ago, and it's not like he did anything illegal, or even inherently immoral, just a little weird is all.
