Emma Stone Back in Bed With Ryan Gosling for “The Gangster Squad”

It's hard think of a better young actress working today to play a tough talking moll.

Emma Stone is in talks to play the femme fatale in "The Gangster Squad," reported Variety. Stone would be taking the role of Jean, a "sharp-tongued siren" at one corner of a love triangle with Ryan Gosling as an LAPD cop and Sean Penn as notorious gangster Mickey Cohen.

In addition to reuniting her with her "Crazy Stupid Love" co-star Gosling, the film would also find her working again with director Ruben Fleischer, for whom starred in 2009's "Zombieland."

She joins a cast that is already stacked, with Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Mackie and Michael Pena also in the mix. "The Gangster Squad" is due to arrive in 2013.

Stone has been enjoying a well-deserved meteoric rise over the past year, with last summer's surprise hit, "Easy A," a great cameo in "Friends With Benefits," and the upcoming "Crazy," as well as "The Help." And for next year she's already finished shooting a small film called "The Amazing Spider-Man," so her immediate future seems secure.
