Anne Hathaway Starring in and Producing “Puzzler”

Anne Hathaway's has a rough go of it parlaying the success of "The Devil Wears Prada." After a string of films that have mostly failed commercially and/or artistically, she now seems to be taking matters into her own hands.

Hathaway will be producing "Puzzler," a "paranoid thriller in the vein of 'Three Days of the Condor'," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The script is by Karl Gajdusek, the man responsible for the recent Nic Cage/Nicole Kidman film, "Trespass."

We hold "Three Days of the Condor" in rather high esteem, as the Robert Redford film is a near-perfect thinking man's actioner with a great supporting cast that includes Faye Dunaway, Cliff Robertson and the insanely evil Max Von Sydow.

Hathaway's last film, "One Day," was a treacly mess (though some Jim Strugess fans liked it) that failed to recoup even its modest $15 million budget. She can next be seen rocking the Catwoman outfit in "The Dark Knight Rises" July 20, 2012, and recently signed on to star alongside Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe in Tom Hooper's "Les Miserables."
