Inside Cocodot, the Opposite of Office Space
Chances are, you're already in love with Cocodot.com and their earth-friendly online cards and paper goods. And if you're not familiar, just ask Gwyneth Paltrow or Rachael Ray. Not too many people know, however, that the creative inspiration comes from the owner's amazing home in Los Angeles, where writers, designers and creative muses hang out for work and play. The Cocodot employees are encouraged to work from the garden, eat fresh farm-to-table meals and invite interesting and unique people to swing by. Not a bad gig, not a bad gig at all. Incidentally, one of Cocodot's founders bought the house in 1998 for $540,000 and it's worth $4.5 million today. Smart lady.
