Introduced in 1950, Danish design pioneer Hans Wegner's Wishbone chair will be available in a rosy hue for the first time in its decorated history next month as part of NYC-based furniture showroom and store Suite New York's Pink Wishbone Project. Twenty percent of proceeds from the wood seating's sales will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. What's more, the cheery, slightly girly perch will be available for a full year at Suite New York, so there's no need to rush their doors in October.

If you're lucky enough to be in NYC on October 7th and invited to the private preview, Suite New York will be auctioning off coordinating cushions created by a passel of top-notch female designers including Sheila Bridges, Celerie Kemble, Bunny Williams and Kelly Wearstler at Barneys New York. The groovy pad that's shown comes from stylesetter Allegra Hicks, a judge from "Top Design" and ex-wife of design legend David Hicks' son. We could definitely see this flower child-inspired perch in a mod bedroom with shag carpeting or lending a pop of color in an all-white loft.
