According to TMZ, Elin Nordegren has purchased a brand spanking new mansion in North Palm Beach, FL for $12.2 million. The ex-wife of womanizer and now struggling PGA golfer Tiger Woods is reportedly the proud owner of a 17,178 square foot beach-front property that features eight bathrooms and an expansive 4,000 square foot basement.

The Swedish-born Nordegren received a $110 million settlement in her infamous divorce from Tiger Woods.  As a condition of their divorce, which was finalized in August 2010, the former model and golfer agreed to live in close proximity to one another for the benefit of their two young children. In fact, Tiger is only ten miles away from his ex's new crib. The golfer recently announced on his blog that he's moving into a $50 million bachelor pad that features a reflecting pond, a lap pool and a 3.5 acre swanky practice facility.
We can only assume that Nordegren's new two-story gated estate will provide her with some privacy and tranquility after what has certainly been a tumultuous two years for the mother of two.
