Cowboys’ linebacker Sean Lee will not have to undergo surgery on his left wrist, which was dislocated back in the October 30 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Lee told reporters this week.
Lee played through the injury for most of the season, at first in a large club-like cast (dubbed Q-tip by Lee’s teammates) but later in a smaller brace.
Lee, in his second year in the league, finished with the team lead in tackles, and was tied for the team lead in interceptions with four.
"I'm ready to go," Lee said, per the Dallas Morning News. "I'll be fine."
Although this is obviously good news from a health standpoint, the season-ending loss to the Giants still stings, for Lee and everyone else in the locker room.
"It's obviously devastating for us," Lee said. "We thought we had a chance to get into the playoffs. We look back at the season and we had a lot of opportunities to win games and we didn't and that's very frustrating for us, but I know the type of team we have and the type of character we have and we're going to move on and be a better team next year."
