Report: Jason Garrett Pulled An All-Nighter Sunday Night

Garrett wasted no time in preparing for the Thanksgiving Day matchup with Miami

It’s Thanksgiving Time here in Dallas, which means turkey, cooler temperatures and a whole lot of Cowboys football crammed into a relatively small window of time. This is awesome for fans of course, but it’s a tall order for the coaches and players who have to, you know, coach and play in three games in 12 days.

Take Jason Garrett, for example. A veteran of the Cowboys’ hectic Novembers both as a player and a coach, Garrett knew there wasn’t much time to celebrate following Sunday’s overtime victory over the Redskins--so, according to a report in today’s Dallas Morning News, he headed straight to Valley Ranch after stepping off the team plane on Sunday night.

Once there, he pulled an all-nighter in preparation for the team’s Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Dolphins.

"I have been a part of this game a lot in a few different capacities, so the biggest thing we try to do is get to the preparation for the next game quickly," Garrett said. "You want to make sure you get your work done but you have to be mindful that you just played a game and you are about to play a game. So you have to understand the balance there for the getting the players ready and right. We hope we are able to do that."
