Was Lil Wayne Involved In Dez Bryant Altercation?

An unconfirmed report has Lil Wayne being involved in an altercation with Dez Bryant at a Miami nightclub last Sunday

As the details surrounding Dez Bryant’s detainment at a Miami Beach nightclub last weekend continue to trickle out, the story keeps getting weirder.

In a report Tuesday, we learned that the altercation between Bryant and another club patron may have started when said patron began hurling insults at Bryant, based on the Dallas Cowboys’ receiver’s on-field performance as well as his debt issues, which came into the public eye around a year ago.

Which brings us to today. We had heard earlier that the altercation may have involved a “famous rapper.” Then just a few hours ago, David Smiley, a reporter for the Miami New Times, tweeted that Lil Wayne may have been that rapper, citing a source with the Miami Beach Police Department.

Smiley prefaces the tweet by saying it is “not confirmed,” but we do know from the Mavericks’ victory party at Club LIV last summer following their finals win over the Heat, that Lil Wayne, a Miami resident, does occasionally hang out there.

Whether we’ll ever find out all the details of the incident, we don’t know. Seems kind of doubtful, since, according to the New Times article, police don’t even have a record of Bryant being detained. For now, we can only hope that whatever we do learn is as amusingly strange as what we have thus far.
