Laurent Robinson Among Finalists For Vizio “Top Value Performer” Award

The winner will be announced the week of January 23

Cowboys receiver Laurent Robinson has been named one of five finalists for the fifth annual Vizio Top Value Performer award, and for obvious reasons. The Cowboys’ receiver is one of five players to be up for the award, which honors impact players with less than impact salaries.

From the press release, via the Dallas Morning News:

For the past four seasons, VIZIO, America's #1 LCD HDTV Company*, has recognized the professional football player whose on-field performance most significantly exceeded expectations and the value of their salary with the VIZIO TOP VALUE PERFORMER award.

VIZIO TOP VALUE PERFORMER finalists are evaluated based on their regular season performances, statistics, and the role they played in the success of their team.

To be sure, Robinson far outplayed his salary of just south of $700,000 in 2011, catching 54 passes for 858 yards and a team-high 11 touchdowns. But he has some stiff competition here, in the form of such other value stars as Patriots’ tight end Rob Gronkowski, Bears’ running back Matt Forte, and Giants’ receiver/Cowboys’ tormentor Victor Cruz.

Fans can vote online at www.VIZIO.com/tvp through January 23, and the winner will be announced later that week.
