Jenkins To Undergo MRI On Injured Hamstring

As if the Dallas Cowboys needed more bad news following their 34-7 whipping at the hands of the rival Philadelphia Eagles, cornerback Mike Jenkins suffered a hamstring injury that will require further evaluation by the team’s medical staff on Monday.

Jenkins is scheduled for an MRI today, but he is hopeful that the injury won’t keep him out of next week’s match-up with the Seattle Seahawks.

I think we caught it before it got worse,” Jenkins said, per ESPN Dallas.

Jenkins reportedly suffered the injury in the third quarter of the loss to the Eagles. He was replaced--and will be replaced against the Seahawks, if he is unable to go--by Orlando Scandrick.

This is just the latest in a season plagued by injuries for Jenkins. He missed most of training camp and all of the preseason with a stinger, before inuring his shoulder early in the regular season. Still, the South Florida product has yet to miss a game due to injury.
