Dez Bryant: “I Think That We Are Unbeatable”

Despite the fact that the Cowboys are 2-3, and losers of two straight, second-year receiver Dez Bryant feels that the team is “unbeatable.” Yep.

Bryant made the kind-of-crazy declaration on Inside the Huddle this week, a weekly show co-hosted by Tashard Choice and hosted by NBC 5 and Blue Star’s own Matt Barrie, which films each Monday at House of Blues. The “unbeatable” remarks came in response to a question posed by Choice, concerning Bryant’s individual and team goals.

Bryant opted to not discuss his personal goals. But:

“As far as the team, I like our chances,” Bryant said. “I feel like, it might sound crazy, I think that we are unbeatable. I feel like the losses, we lost those games ourselves. Once we get back in that meeting room and we regroup and we learn from our mistakes, the sky’s the limit.”

As Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas points out today, Bryant hasn’t spoken to the media this week, meaning that he hasn’t had a chance to clarify his comments. Which is a shame, because it was an interesting interview. Aside from calling his 2-3 team unbeatable, for instance, Bryant suggested that he found the pro game easier than the college game, because he sees more one-on-ones in the NFL than he did in college.
